2. Different types of asynchronous motors

2.1 General

  • The only difference between the various types of asynchronous motor is the rotor.

  • In all cases, the lestator remains, at least in principle, the same: it consists of a wound coil distributed inside a cylindrical casing acting as a frame, and housed inside a magnetic circuit supported by this casing. This magnetic circuit is made up of a stack of laminations, in the form of circular rings, into which the notches parallel to the machine axis are cut.
