7. Mistakes to avoid
7.1 Don't go into the audit unprepared
In particular, don't tell yourself that you'd rather wait to find out what non-conformities the auditor has identified, so that you can save time by only working on those. This situation will make the auditor and the people present rather uncomfortable, and you risk paying for an additional audit if there are a significant number of non-conformities. What's more, you'll have very little time to correct your processes and implement them with your teams, in a context of likely tension.
