A "personalized" distress beacon can be manifested by several
signals, which, after sampling and shaping, are translated into :
a discrete signal, ∀ k, Sg(k ) = γ, reflecting
operation in a gaseous medium, the actual value of γ (γ ∊]0, A]) being
equal to the absolute temperature of the medium ;
a discrete signal, ∀ k, Sa(k ) = (– 1)k, reflecting operation in an aqueous medium ;
an absence of signal (which can be translated as a discrete
signal, ∀ k, S0 (k ) = 0), translating the absence of operation.
