The prokaryotic cell stage is reached in bacteria. This is a living level of organization where enzymatic reactions must occur in relation to a given localization and a precise function to be exercised for the life of the cell.

From this stage onwards, a diagram (figure 3 ) showing the different bacterial components and associated enzymes makes it easier to locate these enzymes in the cell and their function.
