Air kerma :

See incident dose. Total energy deposited by X-rays in an air mass of 1 kg.

Anode :

Electrode for accelerating electrons emitted by the cathode

Cathode (cathode) :

Electron emitter in an X-ray source

Cine-fluoroscopy :

High-dose/image fluoroscopic mode

Compton effect :

Scattering mode of an X-ray photon by inelastic collision with an electron

Coolidge tube :

X-ray source

Dose flux :

X-ray photon flux (per unit area per second)

Absorbed dose :

Amount of energy deposited by X-rays in materials or biological tissues...
