2. Sports assessment platforms
One of the main difficulties in sports biomechanics lies in the collection of the input data needed to carry out a precise analysis of the mechanisms brought into play by the athlete.
As previously mentioned, to conduct a biomechanical analysis of movement, several types of input data are required, as shown in figure
12
. This requires anthropometric data from specific tables in relation to measurements carried out on the subject, but above all, it is necessary to evaluate joint kinematics using motion capture systems and to quantify the athlete's interaction efforts with the physical environment in which practice takes place, using dynamic measurement sensors.
