5. Interactions with ionizing radiation
The interaction between a particle and matter is complex, mainly
in the case of rather high-energy particles. In this contribution,
we restrict the description to the most detected/used particles. The
phenomena are generally split into 3 cases: X and γ photons,
α
particles, and neutrons.
