4. Geometric image transformation
The geometric transformation of an image requires the choice of a deformation model to which a certain number of constraints can be applied. In this section, we present various deformation models and the constraints that can be applied to them. We then look at a number of problems relating to image deformation, especially in view of their discrete nature.
