Organization of public works sites

Public works companies study several projects in order to conclude a single one, so the organization of a given site is not finalized when the company submits its price. However, the future site manager is generally known. It's only when the company knows it's going to get the job that preparations actually get underway.

• A public works project must be meticulously prepared to avoid any improvisation that could jeopardize its success. The site preparation period must be long enough to allow time for fine-tuning. The political and administrative gestation of a public works project sometimes takes several decades: it would be paradoxical to have only a short time to prepare it.

  Owners who leave little time for preparation can't expect their site to be well organized.
