8. Maintenance of flat roofs
To ensure the longevity of a waterproofed flat roof, it's essential to have a maintenance contract, or a well-trained and efficient maintenance service.
From the date of acceptance of the work, the waterproofing company is obliged to provide a Ten-Year Guarantee. Any damage caused by water seepage from the flat roof must be repaired by the company that issued the Ten-Year Guarantee, unless it is established that the leak is due to a lack of maintenance of the waterproofing (opinion of a legal expert).
Maintenance is therefore important and must be treated with the utmost seriousness.
