Traffic lanes are a set of paths linking different parts of the movement area.
They are generally divided into three parts:
runway entrances and exits which allow aircraft to access or leave the runway;
interconnecting runways between runway entrances and exits and parking areas;
service roads that replace connecting roads when the latter border or cross parking areas.
An aircraft's speed will vary according to the route it takes. The safety margins to be taken will therefore be greater or lesser depending on the case.
