6. Fire behavior
This is the ability of a material to participate in a fire through its own decomposition. Their classification was the subject of decrees issued by the Ministries of the Interior and Industry on June 30, 1983 for materials (M requirements) and July 21, 1994 for electrical cables (C requirements). A third decree of November 21, 2002 sets out the rules for the acceptability of Euro classes in relation to M requirements.
