4. Air treatment objectives
Depending on the type of room, its use and the comfort required, the objectives of air treatment are different.
Heating and cooling are simplified treatments applied to room air. The aim is to achieve a comfortable temperature in winter and a temperature a few degrees lower than the outside air in summer (2 to 3 K). Summer treatment gives the impression of coolness. Only temperature is taken into account. Humidity is not controlled. This can occasionally result in a feeling of discomfort.
Heating-cooling can be used in all sectors (residential, commercial and industrial), provided that the financial aspect takes precedence over the technical aspect.
