3. Calculating natural ventilation
In order to obtain a façade pressure coefficient for each wind event over the year, a computational fluid dynamics (CFD) calculation is performed for several angles of incidence.
The approach used conventionally, as well as that adopted in this article, is then presented. The influence of the wind rose, angular discretization and the presence of the urban environment on the estimation of natural ventilation is also discussed.
