11. Summary and proposals

11.1 Method assumptions

We were able to establish the set of equations for the RC model, and to do so we made a few assumptions.

  • Corrected radiative exchange coefficient hrs

    To establish the value of hri and then of hrs, assume that :

    • wall emissivity is 0.9 ;

    • the ratio of the area of heavy walls to the area of light walls is 2.5/2 ;

    • radiation is carried out with an additional surface area of 20%.

  • Model development

    The initial model is based on 3 nodes: air, light walls and heavy walls. The 3 nodes have convective and radiative exchanges between them. The heavy walls are the only ones with thermal inertia.
