6. Glass and safety
There are three types of safety glazing: glass products, non-glass products and plastic films bonded to glazing.
A glass or glass product is said to be "safe" when its constitution, treatment or assembly with other materials considerably reduces the probability of damage due to impact, deformation or fire.
These glasses can be laminated, tempered or wired.
They have special protection features and must comply with specific standards.
