Installation on wooden battens

In most cases, interlocking or sliding clay tiles are laid on wooden battens (figure 2 ), the characteristics of which are detailed in paragraph 2 of the fascicule. .

The battens must rest on at least three supports in the running section, and must be fixed with a point or staple at each intersection of a rafter and a batten.

The cross-section of the battens depends on the rafter spacing and the total load [permanent load of 50 daN/m ² + normal climatic (snow) load].
