The figures below are indicative examples of connections to masonry structures and traditional timber frames. For connections to other types of structure, these figures will need to be adapted.
5.1 Sewers
Sewers may or may not be equipped with a water collection system (gutters).
The first row of running tiles is fixed.
Eaves tiles must have the same slope as the other tiles. To achieve this, the first row of eaves tiles is laid :
or by an extra thickness of mortar (*) in the case of sealed sewers ;
or with a piece of wood of appropriate thickness if the tiles are dry-laid....
