4. Defining a mask from a pre-existing situation

The aim here is to select a shape and determine its angular characteristics to satisfy a solar protection/capture requirement in a given geo-climatic location, with an imposed orientation.

4.1 General method

It consists of three stages:

  • diagnose the need for sun protection/captation ;

  • select the type of protection from the known typology ;

  • define the exact dimensions of the chosen solution.
