Concrete

Cement

Additions

Binder

Name of the mixture of cement and additives used in concrete.

E/L ratio

Mass ratio of water to binder.

Cement hydration

Chemical reaction process that allows cement to harden when it comes into contact with water.

Heat of hydration

Heat released by cement during hydration.

Adiabatic tests

Test for measuring the heat of hydration emitted during the hydration of cement and/or concrete without any heat loss to the outside.
