3. BFM sizing methods
We're going to look at the dimensioning of BFM structures functioning like beams, limiting ourselves to BFMs with softening post-crack behavior (stress decreases as a function of crack opening).
The resistant capacity of a cracked section is calculated as a function of the crack opening. This calculation is taken from Casanova's thesis .
