Designing and calculating connections is one of the key stages in steel construction, in which they play a crucial role.
Typically, these assemblies are found in industrial buildings, made up of a row of gantries that are generally stable in plan. They are also found in many other areas of steel construction, such as signalling structures.
Connections in a steel structure are often made using welded end plates, to link two beams together, or a column and a beam.
