Demolition materials are generally used to manufacture "Primary" products, made up of gravel, and "Secondary" or even "Tertiary" products, made up of sand or chippings. This distinction between Primary, Secondary and Tertiary products is due to the crushing methodology, which is more elaborate in the case of Secondary products that are better suited to road bases.
The manufacture of these products, briefly described below, requires the drafting of an elaboration and quality control procedure. As a result, every recycling facility is now required to produce materials in compliance with a Quality Assurance Plan (QAP). The latter demonstrates that the rules governing the quality of manufactured products have been taken into account, and describes the main phases of production as set out above, while integrating risk prevention and environmental protection.
