4.1 Materials and manufacturing

Plumbing fixtures are made from [C 940] ceramic, a mixture of clay, silica (calcined sand or sea pebbles), ground feldspar and water, which together form the slip. When feldspar is incorporated in sufficient quantities, it ensures excellent vitrification during firing.
