Sealing joints in buildings. How to use

The architect or design office imposes three things:

• dimensions and shape of the structure and its various components (panels, joinery, framing, fixings);

• the nature of the materials, which implies certain dimensional variations;

• the shape of the joints is also partly dependent on the shape of the components and their surfaces in contact.

The joint designer then calculates the dimensions and selects the type of sealant.
