Concrete pumping is a mechanical conveying technique that enables rapid delivery of concrete into the formwork. The principle involves pumping the concrete into a pipe. The concrete is first "agitated" in the pump's reception hopper as soon as it leaves the mixer truck, to preserve its homogeneity. Once a slurry has been prepared to lubricate the pipes and eliminate the risk of blockages, the concrete is pushed into the boom pipe.
