If the maturometer planned for the site has a function for predicting the mechanical strength of concrete at young ages, it must also be able to capture a reference curve providing mechanical strength as a function of equivalent age, obtained experimentally (site calibration phase).

Prior to any maturometry operation, the user must have a concrete calibration file specifying the apparent activation coefficient of the concrete and the reference curve, as well as the anticipated positioning of the temperature probes and their protection on site.
