These are prefabricated concrete products used to delineate sidewalks, shoulders, islands or medians, and to channel runoff water (figures 15 and ).

According to standard NF P 98-340/CN, the following profiles can be distinguished (figure 17 ):

• A: road or freeway verge kerbs that can be crossed once the roadway has been completed;

• P: kerbs for parking lots, driveways, sports fields ;

• T: kerbstones specially designed for urban roads;
