Actuator

Door automation, electric locks and strikes, turnstiles, rising barriers, electromagnetic locking.

Anti-passback, anti-timeback

Function that identifies the user entering and exiting a controlled zone in order to authorize re-entry.

Prevents the identifier from being read twice in succession in the same direction: an input identifier can only be output.

An equivalent function is anti-timeback: start a timer after a first badge passage to avoid a second one immediately afterwards.

Authentication

Verification of holder/carrier association (biometrics, personal code associated with a badge).
