5. Interior wood-frame lining

The Isomob product range and the Vario Duplex and Stopvap airtightness membranes provide optimum thermal and acoustic performance for timber-frame house construction projects, with single- or double-layer insulation, and 2/3 – 1/3 double-layer insulation. The following techniques show how to insulate a house's walls properly, and how to insulate timber-frame walls successfully.

  • Single-layer insulation

    • Place Isomob insulation between the studs.

    • Staple the Vario Duplex airtight membrane to the studs.

    • Joint the membrane strips with Vario KB1 adhesive.

    • Air-tight all-round using Vario DS mastic.

    • Use wooden cleats or Stil ® MOB profiles...
