INTRODUCTION
If a fire breaks out on one of the levels of a building, there's a risk that the fire will spread to the level(s) above or adjacent to it, via the facades.
The present Technical Instruction applies to Établissements Recevant du Public (ERP) of the 1
er
group, to apartment buildings and Immeubles de Grande Hauteur (IGH), and to Établissements Ouvert au Public (IOP), within the limits of the requirements of each regulation. It thus completes a certain number of points presented in the various articles of the fire safety regulations relating to the aforementioned establishments, certain articles of the Construction section and indirectly articles of the Fittings section.
A terminology of the terms used in these regulations is presented in the documentation section of this article.
