ERP fire safety - Technical instruction no. 249 on facades

The purpose of Technical Instruction no. 249 is to :

• specify the conditions of application of regulatory requirements;

• define provisions relating to facades and their junction with floors that do not require experimental verification, using the LEPIR 2 test, defined by the decree of September 10, 1970, to assess the C + D and fire behavior of the attachment of facades to floors;

• define measures to prevent the rapid passage of flames or hot gases from one floor to another, whether or not the C + D rule is required.

For high-rise buildings (IGH), compliance with this technical instruction does not exempt you from obtaining the approval required under article GH 12 (Arrêté du 30 décembre 2011 portant règlement de sécurité pour la construction...
