Pathogenic effects of water in construction

In the preceding study, which cannot be exhaustive, we have examined the pathogenic or harmful effects of water on :

• materials, land and ;

• the different parts of a construction ;

• Cases :

  • polluted and aggressive waters and environments,

  • pipes ;

• and the phenomena of :

  • condensation and,

  • gel.

All this, based on the many examples we have learned of in the course of our expert appraisals and work on construction sites.

We have attempted to classify the various water-related pathologies according to their origin - a difficult and sometimes delicate exercise, since the causes are often multiple and the role of each is sometimes uncertain and debatable.
