  • Labor legislation imposes obligations when the health and safety of those working on a site may be at stake. A bridge repair project often involves working at height, using products that may contain aggressive or toxic substances, etc. The presence of a Health and Safety Coordinator (HSC) is normally required. Safety data sheets (SDS) provide information on the precautions to be taken when using the various repair products.

  • The French Environment Code requires site waste to be managed according to different procedures, depending on the risks involved. Waste is classified into three categories:

    • class I: special industrial waste (SIW) considered hazardous ;

    • class II: common industrial waste (CIW) ;
