2. Examples of discrete-time systems
We will now propose the study of three real system models featuring the bifurcation structures discussed in the previous section, and see what this implies for the operation and use of these systems.
The first is the encoder model of a transmission system. The purpose of the study is to find out the parameter values for which the system functions correctly. The second models a forced oscillator found in various applications. The third is a hybrid circuit used to produce chaotic signals.
