3. Graphic languages
In this section, we focus on graphical languages. We distinguish between three groups: state-based languages, dataflow-based languages and structured analysis languages.
Languages based on state machines are graphical, and their states can be assimilated to atomic entities. In this section, we look at Statecharts and Grafcet. These languages are not used in the same context, but they do have some points in common.
