2. Quantum infrared detectors
In this section, we begin by describing the "detection circuit" brick of quantum detectors, attempting to answer the following questions: How are absorber materials chosen? How are the detector structures in which they are integrated designed? We then present the "readout circuit" brick. Finally, we explain how the detector circuit and readout circuit are assembled, and study the integration of the hybridized matrix in an operational cryostat to obtain a commercial detector block.
