Organic electroluminescent diodes. Technology

Since the advent of OLEDs in the late 1980s, considerable effort has gone into developing electroluminescent materials. The best-performing molecules have been designed and patented by Cambridge Display Technology (polymers) and Eastman Kodak (molecular materials). Various applications have been envisaged: on the one hand, OLED technology enables the manufacture of small displays and screens, both rigid and flexible, for the many objects used in consumer electronics. In addition, thanks to the use of semi-transparent
