6. Digital signal shaping and processing

The LRAN signal is the sum of a useful lidar signalL,n (r, λL) due to the backscattered laser light and a spurious signalRn (λL) due to the scene background. An offset voltagedec (off-set) is added to register negative noise values.

After detection and analog-to-digital conversion, the total signal per digital sample (or bin) is :
