Nanostructures for inorganic photovoltaic cells

Auto-assemblage; self-assembly

Process by which nanostructures are spontaneously organized through physical or chemical interactions. In the case of nanoparticles, this may involve molecular interactions that enable nanoparticles to be attached to a surface in a controlled manner (e.g. in a monolayer).

Cellule solaire mono-jonction; mono-junction solar cell

A solar cell consisting of a single P-N junction made from a single semiconductor material. In contrast, multi-junction solar cells are made up of several P-N junctions and therefore contain several semiconductor materials.
