Several thermal imaging cameras with matrix detectors operating at temperatures up to 20°C have been developed for defense and paramilitary applications (surveillance, security, etc.), based on two thermal imaging technologies: ferroelectric (in pyroelectric mode) and microbolometer.
SAT's Lutis camera can use both technologies. It is designed for night observation and sighting of small arms (figure

). It can also be integrated into weapon system sights and is used for driving vehicles.
