There are two main types of cold distribution: direct distribution and distribution by refrigerant carrier.
In this case, the refrigerant is evaporated in an exchanger, called an evaporator, located where the cooling effect is required. For a cold room, the evaporator is contained in a ventilated box, called a refrigerator.
