5.1 Carbon dioxide properties and application in two-phase loops

Carbon dioxide has undeniable qualities as a refrigerant, particularly in terms of its application conditions from +15 to – 50°C, with interesting thermophysical properties: low viscosity in the liquid phase, high heat capacity also in the liquid phase, as shown in the table 6 .
