Given the critical role that CFPs play in ensuring the proper operation of a melting machine, they must undergo a qualification phase prior to the start of mass production, followed by an acceptance phase, in order to optimize manufacturing processes and eliminate any defective components.

The first step is to verify that the materials used meet the requirements. To do this, tests are conducted to verify the materials’ properties. Once the materials have been approved, they can be assembled to form the CFP.

The component is then tested using non-destructive methods. Some of these are already in use in industry, such as ultrasonic testing. Other techniques are known as "functional" techniques and are used to test the component's heat dissipation.
