Only in the case of the pleated flames shown in figure 7 can the chemistry be considered infinitely fast. To take into account flames of other types, thickened and pleated or only thickened, or even flames that are too close to the latter, we need to bring into the model, in one way or another, the velocity characteristics of chemical combustion reactions.

The problems of predicting the stability domains of turbulent outbreaks, and the quantity of pollutants released, are practical problems...
