Single-energy bond graphs are used to model processes involving a single energy source (mechanical, electrical, thermal, etc.). Technological processes in energy engineering are characterized by the interaction of thermal, fluidic and chemical phenomena. These three fields are coupled. Thermofluid systems, for example, introduce additional complexity into their modeling, since the flow of thermal energy (enthalpy flow) is linked to the mass flow of the fluid transported from one position to another without any dissipation effect. The bond graph tool is well suited to this type of phenomenon, since its graphical structure makes the coupling and influence of different powers explicit.
