1. Pipes
A conduit is an assembly made up of one or more electrical conductors, the components used to secure them and, where applicable, their mechanical protection.
Pipe and circuit should not be confused, the former referring to the physical conditions of fixing and mechanical protection, the latter to the conditions of electrical protection. For example, a pipe may comprise several circuits under specified conditions.
