LV electrical installations - Choice and implementation of equipment

It is not possible here to give an exhaustive list of all the marks and indications found on electrical appliances and equipment, due to the diversity of their presentation and applications. However, most equipment standards require certain indications to be given, either on the equipment itself, or on commercial documents, packaging, notices, etc., for example:

• the manufacturer's name or trademark;

• model number or type reference ;

• rated power or current ;

• rated operating voltage (or voltage range) ;

• IP rating for protection against solid and liquid objects, or a substantially equivalent meaning marking (see table 9 );
