7.1 Incorrect zero-sequence settings on current-operated protection devices
When the underground network expands and we "forget" to take into account the new value of the capacitive current of the feeder to be protected, the condition Isetting > 1.2 × 3Ic may no longer be met.
The protection opens its circuit-breaker unexpectedly when a low-resistance single-phase fault occurs on a neighbouring feeder: this is often referred to as sympathetic tripping.
