4. Earth-fault protection for compensated neutrals

4.1 Mechanisms for the appearance and disappearance of an earth fault

It shows that ground faults are generally not maintained, for lack of a sufficient arc current: they are usually self-extinguishing, i.e. the fault extinguishes by itself when the fault current reaches zero: we are dealing with transient phenomena, and we cannot use symmetrical components...
